Healtasis

Context

Healtasis Inc. is a Korean digital health startup based in the industry-academia building of Sun Moon University in Asan. It helps people with temporomandibular joint disorders and facial asymmetry.

The client’s problem

Jaw disorders are hard to assess outside hospital and often come back: treatment requires months of follow-up and relapse rates reach 20 to 40%. Patients lacked a simple tool to assess themselves and exercise at home.

Our solution

A web platform that combines a questionnaire based on the DC/TMD clinical standard, webcam-based jaw motion analysis (mouth opening, left-right deviation) powered by an AI model, an automatically generated report, exercise videos and, as a paid option, a personalised programme designed by physiotherapists. A dedicated analytics portal serves researchers.
